Join the Team

Thank you for your interest in joining the Five Parks Piranhas Swim Team. Here is some information that you will need to know.

REGISTER HERE

1) Registration has two phases.

The First Phase (Pre-Registration) is open to residents in the Village of Five Parks as well as returning swimmers. The second phase (Public Registration) is open to all new swimmers .

  • Phase One (Residents & Returning) starts mid-March and will be open for one week.
  • Phase Two (All Swimmers) will open late-March/early April and will close in mid-May or when the maximum number of swimmers is reached, whichever comes first.

Please note: The Team WILL fill up. Every year we have a large waiting list of swimmers. If you are seriously interested in joining the team, please be sure to register as soon as you are able to. We must limit the size of the team to ensure great coaching and conditions for our swimmers.

Residents & Returning Rules:

  • Residents must be paying HOA fee’s to the Village of Five Parks.
  • Returning  families must have participated on the Five Parks Piranhas team.
  • Participation in the pre-season clinic does not count toward returning swimmer status.
  • If you did not fulfill your volunteer requirement the previous year, you do not qualify for returning status.

2) Join our Email List to stay updated.

If you are not a returning member of our team, we would suggest that you join our email list to ensure you receive notifications about registration, etc. If you would like to join our list, you may do so here.

3) Do we require tryouts?

We do not require tryouts. Any swimmer may participate on the team as long as they can swim at least one length of the pool (25 meters) without stopping.

4) How do I register?

When your registration period is here, visit our website and the registration forms will be available to you. We accept all registrations online.

5) When do practices start?

We will start practice the week before school is out in the evenings and then in the mornings once school ends. Check the calendar for official dates and times.

6) What is the commitment?

We do not have a specific commitment to participate but we do require swimmers to swim in at least two meets to get an award at the end of the season. We also require swim families to volunteer a certain number of hours during the season. Practices are 5 days a week and your swimmer is encouraged to attend as many as they are able to.

7) How many meets are there?

Meets will take place almost every weekend (minus 4th of July) through mid-July. You can see the schedule here.

8) How much does it cost?

The fee to join the team is $300 per swimmer for the entire summer.
