Volunteer Information

Volunteer Sign Up!
As a member of the Five Parks Piranhas Family, we expect you to volunteer at least 15 hours of time during the summer for the team. Volunteer opportunities will be posted on our Sign Up Genius page each week/meet and a link will be provided through email and/or on the website.

In addition to weekly volunteer opportunities, we also offer the ability to fulfill your entire volunteer hours obligation by becoming tone of our volunteer coordinators. The following volunteer coordinator positions are available every season. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer coordinator, please contact us and let us know.

Volunteer Coordinator Positions

(These volunteer coordinator positions fulfill the 15-hour volunteer requirement for the team.)

Volunteers Coordinator – Ensures volunteer and volunteer coordinator positions are filled for the season, all meets, and team events. Manages the Sign-Up Genius program and updates information as necessary. Communicates additional volunteer opportunities to the team via email. Responsibilities begin prior to the start of the swim season.

Apparel Coordinator – Communicates with the team apparel provider, places team orders and distributes merchandise to swimmers, and responsible for volunteers to sell apparel during home meets. Responsibilities begin prior to the start of the swim season.

Concession Coordinator – Sets season menu, organizes concession volunteers at each home meet. Manages/ensures the purchase of food items for the concession stand, and contacts food vendors to order specific items (ie. breakfast burritos, Starbucks coffee boxes) for each home meet.

Photographer Coordinator – Organizes and coordinates 4-5 volunteer photographers, posts pictures to a photo share site (ie. Shutterfly) for team member viewing, and prepares end of season DVD.

Pancake Breakfast Coordinator – Organizes and coordinates the breakfast through volunteers, acquiring food donations, equipment rental, food preparation, set-up and clean-up.

Awards Coordinator – Works with Parent Board to determine end of season swimmer awards, orders awards, ensure awards are received prior to end of season banquet, and prepares awards for presentation at the banquet.

End of Season Banquet Coordinator – Organizes and coordinates the banquet through volunteers, ordering food items from vendors, acquiring food donations, food preparation and service, set-up and clean-up.
